We are looking for a talented Video Editor Cum Camera Man to shoot good visuals and assemble the recorded footage into a finished project that matches director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
Ultimately, as a Film and Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Know and apply the technical aspects of lenses, film, filters, light and camera settings to each shot to ensure the director gets the effect he or she wants.
- Adjust camera controls, and any related equipment to find the right lighting, exposure and focus.
- Work with other film professionals, including electricians, lighting technicians and directors to determine desired effects, lighting requirements, camera movements and filming sequences.
- Arrange studio sets to best suit the settings on the camera, and control the lighting equipment, film stock, audio and cameras to get the result the director desires from the film.
- Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Be part of ideation team to develop creative video concepts for marketing campaigns
- Discover and keep updated on trending short video (reels and shorts) style and develop outstanding contents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience in Video Editing
- 2+ years experience in Camera and Shooting
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

- Technical Skills: Have a good knowledge to use all types of equipment’s, knowledge of software used for editing and graphics
